Team Korea continues to have great results in the preliminary rounds, just one day before the official start of the Asian Games 2018 Jakarta-Palembang.

― Men’s Basketball 5x5 Preliminary Group A: Korea defeats Mongolia, 108-73
Heo Ilyoung succeeds with six three-point shots, making over 20 points. Team Korea qualifies for the quarterfinal.

― Women’s Football Preliminary Group A: Korea defeats Taiwan, 2-1
Jeon Ga Eul scores on her first run, and Jang Selki scores from mid-field. 

― Men’s Handball Preliminary Group B: Korea ties with Japan, 26-26
Korea ranks No. 1 in Group B, reaching the Group Finals.

― Men’s Football Preliminary Group D: Vietnam defeats Nepal, 2-1
The Vietnamese national football team, coached by Park Hang-seo, a former Korean manager and player, makes it to the Round of 16 for the third consecutive time at the Asian Games.
