Korea and Uganda have begun to share many of their administrative experiences, including ways in which they established online government services.

Fifteen high-ranking regional government officials from Uganda are currently participating in the "Capacity Building Program on Local Administration (Uganda)" workshop, held at the Local Government Officials Development Institute (LOGODI) in Wanju-gun County, Jeollabuk-do (North Jeolla Province), over three weeks from March 12 to April 1.

The workshop is part of a series of ministerial meetings held between Korea and five African nations designed to expand cooperation on public administration. The five nations are Uganda, Tanzania, Ethiopia, Kenya and Rwanda. The LOGODI has been running educational programs for high-ranking government officials from the five countries since 2012.

Reflecting educational needs in Uganda, the LOGODI is giving lectures on regional administration, finance, e-government strategies and the transparency of public administration. It will also speak about the reasons for the success of Korea's rural development strategy in the 1970s and 1980s, the New Community Movement (the Saemaul Undong). There are also plans to visit state organizations and local corporations. The LOGODI will hold additional discussions on the three areas of its main interest: e-government services, the New Community Movement and regional administration. The delegation also plans to visit local businesses, such as Posco, Hyundai Motor and Samsung Electronics.
