White-robed angels (백의, 白衣) will be descending to Seoul.
The 2015 Seoul International Council of Nurses Conference will invite to the capital approximately 8,000 nurses from 135 nations from around the world. Participants will exchange a range of information and experiences in nursing, under the theme of, “Global Citizen, Global Nursing.” The gathering will be held at the COEX convention center in southern Seoul from June 17 until 23.
The ICN hosts the conference every four years, providing a platform where nurses worldwide can build a network among each other.

Representatives from the International Council of Nurses introduce the nursing systems in their own nations during the 2015 Seoul ICN Conference that kicked off at the COEX convention center in southern Seoul on June 17.
The Seoul conference began with a meeting between ICN representatives that will run from June 17 to 19. The experts will evaluate major ICN projects and discuss issues facing the nursing industry.
The event will also feature a symposium on June 19, allowing the nurses to share the latest trends in nursing education and research being carried out in their respective nations. It will continue until June 23.
There will be time for would-be nurses, too. On June 19, the Nursing Student Assembly, to be held under the theme of, “Global Nursing Education, Challenges for Change,” will welcome nursing students from six nations to freely talk about the current state of the training systems in their own countries. They will also come up with ideas to further develop the system.
On top of this series of talks, participants will explore more than 1,900 clinics running across the nation, especially those being operated in farming and fishing villages. There they will see firsthand how far Korea’s healthcare system has come.
A special exhibition will raise participants’ awareness of the history of nursing in the country, too. An array of photographs that chronicle activities done by the Korean Nurses Association will enable the viewers to appreciate the growth seen in the nation’s nursing industry. On June 18, a fashion show will be held for their entertainment, as well. Models will walk the catwalk, sporting uniforms worn by nurses in early modern times. More interestingly, they will appear on the runway dressed in creative, noble uniforms designed in style of traditional Hanbok attire.
“The Seoul conference will give a chance to these experts involved in the nursing business from all around the world to share their expertise,” said an official from the Korean Nurses Association. “This will be a great opportunity to let the world know about the nation’s advanced nursing system, too.”
