Exhibition: Old maps of Dokdo, East Sea

The Northeast Asian History Foundation will showcase some 40 old maps of Korea that confirm Korea's explanation that the easternmost island of Dokdo is a Korean territory and the correct name for the seaway that divides Korea and Japan is 'Donghae' or 'East Sea,' indeed.

Hosted by the foundation and sponsored by the National Assembly Library the exhibition will be held on the first floor o the National Assembly Library for a week from Mar. 2 to 9. Twenty-five maps marked with the name 'East Sea' and another 15 maps, marked with the name Dokdo will be showcased. The opening ceremony will be held on Tuesday (Mar.2).
