Ganggyeong Fermented Seafood Festival

Every October at Ganggyeong Port, Salted Fish Market and Oknyobong Hillside, a large jeotgal festival takes place to boast Korea's very own salted seafood that add spice to many Korean dishes including kimchi. It is a 200-year tradition of old Ganggyeong Port with music, parade, folk performance and most importantly, plenty of cooking experiences for visitors from home and abroad. One can also have fun cooking Korean style rice, catching shrimps to make jeotgal and sample them altogether. There will be information booth and displays that explain the benefits of eating jeotgal.
