The 10th Jarasum International Jazz Festival will take place on Jara Island and in Gapyeong County, Gyeonggi-do (Gyeonggi Province) from October 3 to October 6. Major artists to be performing at the festival include fusion jazz artist Lee Ritenour, the Kenny Barron Trio from America, Preservation Hall Jazz Band based in New Orleans, Finnish pianist Iiro Rantala, and the Ulf Wakenius and Lars Danielsson Duo.
One of the notable features in the lineup is the Diva Series presenting divas of the five different continents: Anna Maria Jopek from Poland, Madeleine Peyroux from the U.S., Carmen Souza from Cabo Verde, and Nah Youn-sun from Korea.
After the Poland Focus in 2012, this year will feature the Sweden Focus, showcasing the sentimental Swedish jazz by artists including Wakenius, Danielsson, Kaja, and Jacob Karlzon.
