Hamyang, a remote mountain village in Gyeongsangnam-do Province, hosts the Hamyang Wild Ginseng Festival every year for those who are interested in health and living well.
The festival invites you to try digging your own ginseng and other medicinal herbs, and to taste desserts like hotteok sweet nut pancakes, macaroons and ice cream, and drinks such as hot tea and makgeolli rice wine, all made with ginseng.
There will be auctions for sets of high-quality wild ginseng root and an exhibition of anti-aging products.
You can also take a break by walking through the wild ginseng forest.
