The Korean Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism proudly presented the special concert, Korea 21: Music Here and Now, in collaboration with the Gugak FM Broadcasting System in Seoul and the Korean Cultural Center, Los Angeles on Saturday, April 24 at 7:30 p.m., at Nate Holden Performing Arts Center.
This special musical showcase to commemorate KCCLA's 30th Anniversary Gala Performance Series.
A highlight of this event was the selected group of outstanding Korean traditional and popular music artists from Korea, such as A Cappella, Tory'S, and Instrumental Ensemble, Ullim, one of the most influential folk song singers in Korea today, Kim Yong Woo, and finally a renown choreographer from Los Angeles, Choi Won-sun.
The sensational vocalists and musicians captivated an audience of more than 400. The concert focused on a unique blend of traditional and contemporary music in its variation called “changjak gugak”,  which is a new artistic phenomenon in Korea.
The artists also performed at the Korean Cultural Center on April 20th , held a music workshop at University of California, Riverside on April 21st  and a performance at  Cal State, Los Angles on April 22nd.
