Media facades, Korean writing contests, concerts by famous Korean artists, meetings with writers from both countries, online traditional performances, online B-boy performances, and hanbok fashion shows will be held by The Korean Cultural Center in Turkey within three months.
The Cultural Center set up 3D project mapping (media facade) in Ankara, Istanbul, and Izmir, which have the largest floating population in Turkey.
At the opening ceremony of the media facade event held at Ankara Ankamall Shopping Mall on October 9, about 500 VIPs and people, including Ali Ayvazoglu (Commissioner of Culture and Tourism Ankara), Timur Gültekin (Director of Language Education Center Ankara University), and Ahn Byung-jin (chairman of Korean Association in Ankara) attended the event.
In addition, major local media such as Anadolu News, the Hurriyet Newspaper, and NTV have shown great interest in the event, and about 242 media have reported so far.
Park Kee-Houng, head of the Cultural Center, "I don't think there's a stronger communication than empathy through culture and art. Based on the achievements we have made so far, we will do our best to help the people of both countries understand each other's cultures and make everyone happy through genuine cultural exchanges, he said.
