The Consulate General of the Republic of Korea in New York has the sad duty to announce that His Excellency Roh Tae-woo, former president of the Republic of Korea, passed away in Seoul on Tuesday, October 26, 2021. 

The State Funeral for the late President Roh Tae-woo, with foreign government representatives in attendance, will be held in Seoul on Saturday, October 30, 2021, following a five-day memorial period from October 26 to October 30. 

Meanwhile, a Book of Condolences will be opened from Thursday, October 28 to Saturday, October 30, 2021, between the hours of 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Consulate General of the Republic of Korea in New York, 460 Park Avenue (& 57th Street), 8th floor, New York, NY 10022.
