Events at KCCs abroad

The Korean Cultural Center in Turkey holds its first exhibition of 2022 as the 3rd “GILGGOT” group exhibition, an exhibition for outstanding students of the calligraphy and painting classes at the Korean Cultural Center in Turkey, for 25 days from February 14th to March 3rd.


In this exhibition, 24 hanging scrolls and 18 lamps were displayed as works of outstanding students of the calligraphy and painting classes of the Korean Cultural Center in Turkey. Looking at chrysanthemums, bamboo, orchids, magnolias, and plum blossoms from the perspective of Turkish people, they expressed the traditional beauty of Korea through Hangeul.


The opening ceremony started with a congratulatory speech Kee-Houng Park, director of the Korean Cultural Center in Turkey, followed by a congratulatory speech by Kang Ae-hee, lecturer of the Korean Cultural Center in Turkey, and a greeting by Semra Aytekin, the calligraphy class leader.


Director Kee-Houng Park said, "This exhibition was a great opportunity to see the spirit of Plum blossom, orchid, chrysanthemum, bamboo `s support and incision through the Cultural Center's calligraphy class," adding, "Like Hanji, which lasts a thousand years, we will do our best to maintain close cultural exchanges for a long time.
