Visit of UNISTRASI students to the Korean Cultural Center

On Monday 20 June 47 students of the University for Foreigners of Siena together with 4 teachers visited the Korean Cultural Center. Given the large number of people for the visit, the students were divided into two groups.

The students were greeted by greetings from Director Chun Ye Jin and then made a tour of the KCC accompanied by coordinator Choi. The students were able to see the "Sarangbang" (a traditional Korean room reproduced at the Institute), the digital area dedicated to Hangeul and the murals depicting the Sungnyemun made the words of the Hunminjeongeum and the Colosseum composed with the First Canto of the Inferno of the Divine Comedy by Dante.

Following the tour the students were able to try traditional Korean games such as Tuho, Jeghiciaghi, Ttakcicighi and try Hanbok, the traditional Korean dress.

Finally, the visit ended with a workshop on Hanji paper decorating mirrors and fans.

The Institute thanks the students and teachers of UNISTRASI for the visit and believes that the visit was a good moment in which it was possible to see the passion and enthusiasm of young Italians for Korean Culture.
