Korean Cultural Center in Hong Kong held a special exhibition from October 13 to November 26 to showcase various types of Hanbok worn in daily life and ceremonial occasions, and Hanbok ornaments and accessories, allowing Hong Kong visitors to experience the beauty of Korean traditional costumes.
In addition, 2 pieces of art works by JEONG Myoung-jo, contemporary Korean hyperrealist painter were showcased. Her signature paintings depict the women in traditional Korean finery, Hanbok, across different seasons of life and class.
Visitors could try on Hanbok and take photos in front of the photo zone. Visitors who posted photos of trying on Hanbok to their Instagram feed and tag KCCHK's Instagram and hashtag #Hanbokexhibition_KCCHK could get a Hanbok sachet/ Jogakbo corsage/Tosi DIY set prepared by the Korean Cultural Center.
Through this event, Korean Cultural Center hopes to further promote Hanbok culture among Hong Kong citizens.
