Events at KCCs abroad

Korean Cultural Center participated as a guest country in the 19th Ankara International Book Fair as part of the globalization of K-literature.


The opening ceremony, held on December 1st, was attended by the current mayor of Ankara, Mansur Yavaş, and former Deputy Prime Minister Bülent Arınç, who delivered speeches.


The book fair, which hosted 350 publishers, took place from December 1st to 10th, attracting a total of 583,456 visitors. More than 500 renowned authors from the host country participated, engaging in author talks and fan signing events. South Korea, invited as the guest country this year, invited the distinguished author Yun Goeun, who received the prestigious Grand Prize in 2021, for author talks and a fan signing event.


Additionally, historical seminars were conducted during the book fair, featuring various experts delivering special lectures on the literary, historical, and economic aspects of Korea's development.
