The Korean Cultural Center Los Angeles celebrated Chuseok, Korea’s biggest holiday, by hosting a
Korean Festival on September 14 at Brigham Young University in Utah. Over 3,000 local students and
community members participated, creating an enthusiastic and lively atmosphere.
The event, co-hosted with BYU, CUPBOP, and BOPSIM Foundation, also featured participation from
public organizations and many Korean product companies.
Various experience booths were set up; even before they opened, large crowds had already
gathered. Attendees enjoyed Korean culture, food, products, and beauty items. Traditional
Korean Performances such as fan dances, haegeum music, and samulnori performances were presented
alongside K-Pop dance performances, giving visitors a whole experience of Korean culture.
The most popular booths were the hanbok experience and the Korean Calligraphy boot. Many families
created lasting memories by taking photos of themselves wearing hanbok and having their names
written in Korean calligraphy.
