The 13th Anniversary Celebration of the Korean Cultural Center was held on October 19 (Saturday) at 12:00 PM (local time). The event was attended by approximately 500 people, including 300 K-pop fans selected through pre-registration and members of the cultural center's performance group.
The event began with the final round of the Korean Language Speaking Contest, held to commemorate Hangul Day. The finalists, selected through a preliminary round, competed under the theme "Informal vs. Formal Speech in Korean." A total of 8 finalists participated, including graduates of King Sejong Institute, current students of Korean Language and Literature, as well as professionals and graduate students who had studied Korean independently.
The event continued with a performance of the traditional Korean fan dance by the cultural center's dance team. The performance, which featured choreography set to the local folk song "Wiskdara," captivated the audience with its variety of movements and received enthusiastic applause. Additionally, a K-webtoon demonstration was held, providing attendees with an opportunity to learn about the creation process of Korean webtoons and the cultural background behind them, offering a hands-on experience.
The event concluded with a stunning finale, featuring a performance by the K-pop Academy students who had attended courses at the cultural center over the past month, followed by a celebratory performance from the K-pop Academy instructors. These performances brought the celebration to a magnificent close, leaving the audience with lasting memories.
