It was pomp and pageantry at the Award Ceremony for the 9th Korea-Nigeria Drawing Competition which was jointly organized by Korean Cultural Centre Nigeria (KCCN) and FCT Universal Basic Education Board (UBEB) on May 21, 2019. 35 schools - 30 public schools and 5 private schools participated in this edition.
The theme for this year’s competition was 'Independence' to commemorate the centenary of the March 1st Movement and the establishment of the Korean Provisional Government and the bilateral relations between Nigeria and South Korea.

KCCN Director, Mr. Lee Jin Su welcomed the pupils, teachers and VIPs assuring them of continuous collaboration between Korea and Nigeria. Ruwo Wodi (SPS Kwali) came tops winning a Hp Notebook, Edache Damian (Smart Aacdemy Abuja) came second winning a Hp Notebook while Habila Jehoshapat came third winning a Bluetooth speaker. In a similar development, Adanu Samuel (SPS Kwali); Stephen Henry (Knowledge Base Kuje); Raheem Shehu (Knowledge Base Kuje); Igba Friday (Master Key Excellence Pasali); Dominic Paul (LEA Karu); Michael Adebayo (LEA Zuba South) & Ukasha Usman (LEA Primary School Jabi) won Consolation prizes respectively.
