Korean Artist Dae Hun Kwon will receive The Jack Goldhill Award for a Sculpture, as well as the Prize 10,000 from the Summer Exhibition for a Sculpture which holds authority and the very best of history over the world.

 

2011 RA Summer Exhibition has started from 1769 reached the 243times in this year, painting, printing, drawing, sculpture, architecture design and modeling etc will be showing and also 1,200 out of 11,000 will be collected in advance.

 

The representative prizes will be awarded including the Charles Wollaston Award which was given to Young British Artists (YBA) such as Jake & Dinos Chapman brothers (2003), Marc Quinn (2001) and American based pop artist as well as photographer David Hockney (1999) and also Jeff Koons who became sensation for being purchased and exhibited in SHIN-SAEGAE Department store, the Bovis Lend Lease and the Architects’ Journal Award specially made for architects and The Jack Goldhill Award for a sculpture which will be awarded by Dae Hun Kwon for the first time as a Korean artist.

 

The Jack Goldhill Award that Dae Hun Kwon will be receiving for the first time as a Korean artist has been awarded to Ruth Dupre in 2010, James Capper in 2009 and one of the world famous British modernism sculptor Anthony Caro in 2008, famous American media artist Tony Oursler in 2007, as well as Wilhelm Mundt in 2007 Richard Long in 2006.

 

Artist Dae Hun Kwon has been nominated as a winner of The Jack Goldhill Award for Sculpture 2011 with his work 250510R. Micheal Goldhill who is son of Jack Goldhill, John Wragg one of the members of Royal Academy of Art and Ruth Dupre winner of last year were commissioned to be the panel of judges of this year and the prize as well as the prize money will be awarded to the winner.
