The Contemporary Korean Ceramic exhibition「Tradition Transformed: Contemporary Korean Ceramics (유럽 한국현대도예순회전)」will be held by Korean Foundation and Victoria and Albert Museum at Victoria and Albert Museum, London from 20 May 2011 to 1st October 2011 in order to enrich the cultural exchanges between Korea and UK and to introduce the excellence of Korean ceramic.
The exhibition is a part of travelling exhibits in Europe which has been held 4 times in other 3 European countries (Northern Ireland, Ireland, Spain) during 2007-8. It will be a good opportunity to introduce new awareness of traditional Korean aesthetics and its significant value to British society and it is especially expected to introduce the uniqueness of Korean ceramic to the British art society which highly regards the harmony of tradition and modernity. |
