World Stage Design 2009, a grand gathering of stage artists, is to take place in Seoul from Sept 19 to 30. The event which his a joint project of Korea Theater Artist Association and the International Organization of Sceneogrpahers, technicians and architects of theater will present various art works of the field, compete and share new ideas through seminars.

The artworks will be shown in digital form and the viewers will get to hear and see various stage effects through computers. After the assessment of the judges selected works will be displayed at the festival in miniature form.

Actual performances will also take place. Oscar Wilde's Selfish Giant will be broken up into several scenes for individual artist and groups to work on as a joint project, overall. The performance will be presented everyday during the festival at Daehagno Arts Theater.
