Noon Concert

The National Korean Traditional Instrument Orchestra offers Noon Concert at the National Theater of Korea. This performance offers a fun and varied program such as orchestral music, film songs, original soundtracks of TV drama and traditional Korean instrumental music.


Noon Concert Program


1. Orchestra: Namdo Arirang Fantasia Composition (Baeak Dae-ung)
- Originally composed for Orchestra Asia. The main theme of the piece is South Korea's most representative local minyo songs: Jindo Arirang and Miryang Arirang


2. Movie soundtracks for Titanic, Cinema Paradiso and Tien Mi Mi
- My Heart Will Go On performed on a traditional instrument called sogeum (small flute). Also you'll hear the Love Theme from Cinema Paradiso and Tien Mi Mi.


3. Gayageum solo Bi Dan Gil (Silk Road) Composition: Hwang Byeong-gi
- Gayageum performed by Hwang Byeong-gi. The composer of this song was motivated by Persian glassware found in the tombs of the Silla Dynasty (57 B.C. - A.D. 935).

5. Orchestra Sin Nae Rim (Fall into Trance) Composition: Park Beom-hoon
- Sin Nae Rim is the music of shamanism for the Gyeonggi region. It has a very devout and cheerful feel.
