This year the annual "Hello, Mr. K" concert, a series of performances that introduces Korean arts to foreigners living in Korea, took place at Changdeokgung's Huwon gardens.
Held on May 22, the special concert was attended by some 90 foreign embassy officials, one-person media stars and international students.
Staged in three acts at various landmarks within the Huwon gardens, the concert started with a musical performance at the Buyongji pond followed by a Hanbok fashion show by the Jondeokjeong Pavilion.
A court dance and a musical performance was then staged at the Yeongyeongdang Residence, a house modeled on a typical Joseon nobleman's home.
"Hello Mr. K!" will return later in the year with a program filled with K-pop, pansori, taekwondo and more, once in July at Yonsei University and in Oct. at Chungnam National University.
