Actor Lee Jung-jae's directorial debut "Hunt" has been pre-sold to 144 countries.
The film's distributor Megabox on Aug. 1 said the movie was pre-sold to 144 countries including the U.S., France, Germany, Japan, India, Thailand, Brazil and Mexico.
Set to premiere on Aug. 10 in Korea, "Hunt" is an action-thriller about two agents at an intelligence agency, Park Pyeong-ho (played by Lee) and Kim Jeong-do (Jung Woo-sung), who start suspecting each other of being undercover spies.
"Hunt" was invited to screen next month at the Gala Presentations of the 47th Toronto International Film Festival.
In May, it was invited to screen at the 75th Cannes Film Festival's non-competitive section Midnight Screening, with its subsequent screenings at the festival sold out.
