Jimin, a member of the K-pop sensation BTS, is the first K-pop solo artist to top Billboard's main singles chart Hot 100.

In an article forecasting the online songs chart for the week of April 8, Billboard on April 3 said Jimin's solo track "Like Crazy" debuted at No. 1 on the chart.

BTS is the only K-pop act to top the Hot 100 as a group and having one of its members do the same solo.

Jimin is also the first in K-pop history to hit No. 1 on the chart as both a member of a group and a soloist.

During the chart reporting period from March 24-30, the song sold a combined 254,000 downloads and CD singles, with 10 million streams and 64,000 radio listeners.

"Like Crazy" is the title track of Jimin's first official solo EP "Face."

Psy held the previous K-pop mark on the chart as his 2012 global smash "Gangnam Style" was No. 2 for seven straight weeks.

The Korean- and English-language versions of "Like Crazy" were both released on March 24. The hit's cumulative sales were the highest for one week since Taylor Swift's "Anti-Hero" sold 328,000 for the week of Nov. 19 last year.

The Hot 100 is calculated based on data on U.S. streaming (official audio and video), radio airplay and sales for all genres.
