The Korean Cultural Center (KCC) in Nigeria hosted an event to mark the 50th anniversary of the Korean Culture and Information Service. (KCC in Abjua)

The Korean Cultural Center in Abjua, Nigeria, on Nov. 29 marked the 50th anniversary of the Korean Culture and Information Service (KOCIS) at Thought Pyramid Art Centre. The event featured photo and art exhibitions from Korea.net's "Talk Talk Korea" contest from all over the world.

KCC Director Lee Jin-su gave a warm welcoming speech on the growth and achievements of KOCIS around the world. The art gallery was amazing and scintillating as pictures displayed showed the relationship between KOCIS and individuals. I was privileged to be at this event with two other Honorary Reporters.

Two other Honorary Reporters attended the ceremony at the KCC in Abuja.

The classic music being played was soothing to the ears, as well as snacks with juice and red wine.

Participating in the event was a wonderful experience for me.

I took tons of pictures with my colleagues, Lee and his staff. We hung gift cards on the Christmas tree with goodwill messages to Korea, and guests from other foreign embassies in Nigeria attended.

Participants also received gifts marking the occasion and lots of books on Hallyu like K-dramas, Korean food, architecture and literature.
