
President Park Geun-hye expresses her desire for bold innovation at the seventh Asian Leadership Conference on May 17 in Seoul.
“Korea will take the path of endless innovation,” said President Park Geun-hye during the seventh Asian Leadership Conference in Seoul on May 17.
At the conference, President Park said that, “Amid the unpredictable, unstable world economy, innovation is the only essential strategy for survival. All around the world, a rate of low growth continues, dubbed the ‘new normal.'"
“To overcome this crisis faced by the world, we need bold innovation based on science, technology and creativity.”

President Park Geun-hye says that Korea will follow the path of endless innovation and never settle for only positive comments from the international community. She was speaking at the seventh Asian Leadership Conference in Seoul on May 17.
President Park said, “Many countries have been leading the fourth industrial revolution, creating new industries and bringing innovation into the manufacturing sector by combining it with IT. Korea is also actively responding to these big changes by creating an ecosystem for creative industries and through our Three-year Economic Innovation Plan.”
“Korea will not settle for mere positive assessments from the international community. Korea will take the path toward endless innovation,” said the president.
Regarding North Korean nuclear weapons issues, she urged the world to gather its wisdom, experience and knowledge so that Pyongyang will give up on the road of provocation and isolation, and follow a normal path of development through exchange and cooperation with the international community.
