The government has pledged do its best for a successful "K-pop Super Live," a concert for the more than 40,000 scouts who attended the 25th World Scout Jamboree in Korea, so that they can fully enjoy the show in a safe environment.

Spokesperson Kang Jung-won of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism on Aug. 10 said this at a news briefing on the concert and the Jamboree's closing ceremony at the Korea Press Center in Seoul's Jung-gu District. "All related government ministries and the Jamboree organizing committee are working together for thorough safety management and preparation," he said.

"The scouts will enter the stadium from 2 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. in order according to a strict timetable and their movement will be carefully managed to prevent crowds from forming all at once."

The 30-minute ceremony will start at 5:30 p.m. and the concert will begin at 7 p.m. for a two-hour run.

Of the 43,000 seats to be set up, 6,000 will be on the ground. Seating arrangements and entry and departure from the venue will consider travel time to scouts' accommodations and their departure schedules.

On emergency medical support, the spokesperson said, "We will build four emergency medical centers in collaboration with the Ministry of Health and Welfare, Seoul Metropolitan Government, Mapo-gu District Office and firefighters," adding, "We're prepared to respond to any emergency situation through measures like deployment of 10 ambulances."

An additional 30 portable toilets will be installed inside the stadium for a more pleasant viewing experience. Over 200 cleaning and related staff will be deployed to manage facilities including bathrooms.

The ministry also announced the giving of a "concert remember kit" to each participating scout so that they "feel K-pop and have fond memories of the performance."

The gift set comprises an eco-friendly bag commemorating Visit Korea Year 2023-24, concert cheering stick, items featuring Kakao Friends characters and photo cards of the members of K-pop sensation BTS.
