A government program for education on North Korean human rights targets foreign nationals.
The Ministry of Unification on Feb. 28 announced that its North Korean Human Rights and Security Global Young Leadership Program seeks to enhance foreign understanding of human rights in the North and attract broad support from the international community.
To this end, the program offers such education both online and offline in English.
The online lectures are offered on the program's official YouTube channel. They are given by experts in North Korean human rights in English or with subtitles in English like Minister of Unification Kim YungHo, North Korean Human Rights Promotion Committee Chairman Lee Jung Hoon and Lee Shin-wha, former ambassador for international cooperation on North Korean human rights.
Those who watch all the lectures and receive a certain score in an evaluation on the Google Classroom linked to the channel can receive a certificate of completion signed by the unification minister.
The ministry will allow 10-20 people who complete the online courses to take the offline courses on global unification of the National Institute for Unification Education.
