The Namwon Chunhyang Festival is based on the beautiful plotline of the famous Korean love story Chunhyangjeon. A variety of events and performances celebrate Chunhyang’s continual devotion to Lee Mong-ryong despite all the trials and hardships they suffered. Major programs for the festival include: Chunhyang Gugak Fair, Namwon Nongak Performance, Traditional Poetry Singing Competition, Visiting the Tomb of Chunhyang & Chunhyang Festival, Daedongji nori, Playing Traditional Games and Riding the Chunhyang Swing.
