The Korean National Ballet in March will present again its original ballet "Hoi Rang" after its debut last year. This ballet is based on the story of Rang as told by journalist Jang Ji-yeon in his compilation book "Ilsayusa," which was published in the early 20th century during the era of the Korean Empire (1897-1910). In place of her old father, Rang disguises herself as a man to join the army and leads it to victory over the enemy.
