The young composer and performer, who lives in Seoul, delivers fusion music in a laid-back vocal style that combines haunting lyrics with a traditional Korean string instrument, the gayagum, that it has been revised into a 25-string variant from a 12-string original. Her music has appealed to listeners of all ages and a diverse range of musical tastes—from jazz to Korean traditional. Korean audiences reacted enthusiastically to her first album, entitled “Sangsamong” (“Love Dream”), placing it on the mega store’s sales charts, now the album became one of the representative steady sellers in Korean music circle with traditional instrument. The performance will take place on Friday April 16 at 7 p.m. and Saturday April 17 at 6 p.m. in Jayu Theater of Seoul Arts Center. Ticket costs from 25,000 ~30,000 won.
