On June 3, actor Lee Byung-hun belatedly received the 2013 Asia Pacific Screen Award (APSA) for Best Performance by an Actor.

Lee received his trophy at the Australian embassy in Korea, located in Gwanghwamun, central Seoul, for his performance in 2012's “Masquerade," known in some markets as, "Gwanghae: The Man Who Became King."

“The awards were held in Brisbane last year, but I was unable to make it because of my filming schedule. I am grateful to them for having set up such a special occasion to mark my award,” said Lee.

“I received awards and adoration from many fans for the movie ‘Masquerade.’ It brought me a lot of happy moments. This is so far the biggest award that I have ever received in my life,” he said.

“People call me a world-class actor, but it sounds like someone else, not me. It sounds more like their wishes that I would become a world-famous actor, so I will do my best to meet their expectations and make good films,” Lee said.

The film will be a reboot of the whole series and Lee’s role in the movie is not yet known.
