The long-awaited KCON 2016 France concert will kick off in Paris on June 2, featuring your favorite singers, dancers and pop sensations from across the K-pop universe. Pictured is the previous KCON 2016 Abu Dhabi concert that was held on March 25.

KCON 2016 France, often called the “gift of all things Korean,” will kick off in Paris with the opening leg of its European tour.

On June 2, the curtain will rise at the Accor Hotels Arena in the French capital, offering a range of all things Korean, not only pop music, but also food, cosmetics, fashion and other content, as well.

The concert is part of the many events that mark the “Year of Korea in France,” a commemoration in honor of the 130th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties between the two nations. Various “Year of Korea in France” events will run from June 1 to 7 across the cities of Paris, Nice and Nantes.

A group of fans flock to KCON 2016 Abu Dhabi, waving signs with the name of their favorite pop group, the boy band Bangtan Boys, on March 25. This June in Paris, the 12,000 tickets to KCON 2016 France have already been sold out.

The highlight of the concert will be when boy bands Shinee, Block B, the Bangtan Boys and F.T. Island, and girl groups f(x) and I.O.I come to the stage. There will be booths set up near the concert hall, as well, where visitors can try on some Korean cosmetics and sample some bleeding edge Korean IT, as well as browse a variety of content including popular soap operas and movies. They will also be able to sample Korean cuisine and see some of the foods being cooked up close.

“This festival garners quite lots of eyes, so many that all 12,000 tickets to the concert have already been sold out,” said a representative from CJ E&M, the media conglomerate hosting the KCON concerts. “This will help Korea reach out to more people across France, and will also help our corporations make inroads into French and other European markets, as well.”
