Learning from Korea, the Best Practice Country in Pandemic Preparedness and Response: Korea-ASEAN Strengthen Training for Infectious Disease Response Staff
- The 3rd GHSCO Core Personnel Training Program is being held from Monday, June 30 to Thursday, July 10.
- A total of 15 public health professionals from six ASEAN Member States are participating in the training.
Osong, 25 July 2025 – The Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency (KDCA) is hosting the Third Core Personnel Training Program led by the Global Health Security Coordination Office (GHSCO) from June 30 to July 10. Launched in late 2023, GHSCO leads this initiative as part of a joint Korea-ASEAN project to enhance infectious disease preparedness and response capacities in the region.
The GHSCO’s efforts in capacity-building and its strong commitment to global health have been internationally recognized, receiving the “2024 Recognition of Success” award from the International Association of National Public Health Institutes (IANPHI) in the Asia Network.
