A camper van loaded with kimchi, one of Korea's iconic dishes, has recently shown up in Italy. It is officially called the Kimchi Bus.

In celebration of the opening of the World Exposition Milano 2015, whose theme this year is food, a group of Korean youths are giving people gathered from around the world an opportunity to sample various types of Korean cuisine, including the many types of kimchi. The Kimchi Bus will make stops in Milan, where the world expo is taking place, and then visit the neighboring cities of Rimini, Bologna, Modena, Parma and Varese.

The Kimchi Bus is part of an effort to introduce and share Korean cuisine and the traditions and etiquette of the Korean table with people from around the world. Since its inception in 2011, the bus has visited 186 cities across 32 countries. Last year, during the World Cup, it dropped by Brazil and neighboring nations to help increase public interest in Korean food.

The Kimchi Bus offers a variety of dishes, including finger food such as bruschetta topped with kimchi, rice wrapped in greens (ssambap) and unique Korean dishes such as kimchi pancakes (kimchijeon), chicken soup with ginseng (samgyetang) and braised short ribs (galbijjim).
