Actor Youn Yuh-jung has won Best Supporting Actress for her performance in "Minari" at this year's British Academy Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) awards.

The academy on April 11 named Youn as this year's winner of her honor at the 74th BAFTAs ceremony held at London's Royal Albert Hall.

Expressing her condolences over the recent death of Prince Philip, Youn said in an online acceptance speech, "Every award is meaningful but this one, especially recognized by British people known as very snobbish people and they approved me as a good actor, so I'm very privileged and happy."

Having won awards for her "Minari" performance from the U.S. Screen Actors Guild and the BAFTAs, Youn is seen as a favorite to win the Academy Award of the U.S.

The BAFTAs are one of the most prestigious film awards in the English-speaking world.

"Minari" was nominated for six BAFTAs: Best Film Not in the English Language, Best Director, Best Supporting Actress, Best Supporting Actor, Best Original Score and Best Casting.
