On March 19, 2024, Minister OH Youngju of SMEs and Startups had a meeting with Ambassador Philippe Bertoux of France to the Republic of Korea in Gwanghwamun, Seoul. The two parties explored the possibilities of enhancing cooperation in the startup sector between the two countries.

During the meeting, both sides highlighted the significance of collaboration among their respective startups to drive innovation and promote economic growth in the global era. They also deliberated on ways to expand exchanges with Station F, a French startup incubator, to establish a global startup hub in Korea. Additionally, they discussed participating in startup events that take place in both countries, such as COMEUP in Korea and VIVATECH in France.

Ambassador Philippe Bertoux stated, "South Korea has one of the most well-established startup ecosystems in Asia." He added, "French startups are keen on entering the South Korean market, and we would like to request MSS's assistance in helping them settle in Korea."

Minister OH Youngju stated, "France is one of the most cooperative countries with MSS in the startup sector." She added, "We would like to request your kind attention on venture capital investment, startups, and global companies between Korea and France."
