The Korea Pavilion at Expo Milano 2015 announced on Oct. 7 that it has offered two return tickets from Milan to Korea as a gift to the family of Boselli Patrizia, a Milanese woman who became the 2 millionth visitor to the pavilion at the world's fair.

Patrizia, who became the lucky visitor, said that she visited the venue after reading a news article that said that, “The Korea Pavilion is a must-visit place worth the wait.”

After looking around the exhibit with her husband and accompanied by a staff member at the pavilion, she said, “I learned through this exhibit that Korean cuisine is healthy and that it uses a lot of fruits and vegetables. I really hope to try it. I'll surely visit Korea and travel to historic cities there.”

Around 12,000 people visit the Korea Pavilion each day, according to the Korea Tourism Organization (KTO). The accumulated number of visitors is expected to exceed 2.3 million by Oct. 31, the closing day of the expo, said the KTO. In July this year, the pavilion had its 1 millionth visitor.

The Korea Pavilion will also hold a series of cultural events up until the expo's closing day. These will include an exhibit about religious food preparation and life at Buddhist temples, slated for Oct. 14 to 18, a performance by the b-boy group Gamblerz Crew scheduled for Oct. 15 to 16 and a Korean food night on Oct. 29.
