The Seoul nightscape is illuminated in dazzling pink.

Since Oct. 12, pink light has illuminated at night five city landmarks -- Seoul City Hall, the N Seoul Tower, Dongdaemun Design Plaza, Sejong Center for the Performing Arts, City Hall and Some Sevit by the Hangang River.

The Seoul Metropolitan Government and its PR ambassador Pinkfong, a global brand of children's content, are lighting up these venues under the Pink Light Campaign to cheer up city residents weary from the COVID-19 pandemic.

Pinkfong's "Baby Shark" music video has attracted 6.9 billion views on YouTube, the second most on the video sharing platform. The city in June designated Baby Shark as its first PR ambassador character and part of promotional activities utilizing video content.

The city government in April held its Blue Light Campaign to thank medical staff fighting COVID-19. This program had its color changed to pink, which symbolizes Pinkfong, to illuminate several of the capital's leading landscapes.

The campaign ends on Nov. 11.

Sejong Center for the Performing Arts in Seoul's Jongno-gu District is the nation's largest culture and arts complex.
