The Manila office of the Korea Tourism Organization (KTO) and Korean Cultural Center in Taguig on April 12 hosted the event "K-Beauty Hang Out" at the mall SM Aura in the Philippine capital in cooperation with the Korean beauty salon Jenny House and Philippine branches of Korean cosmetics giants Amorepacific, Laneige and Innisfree.

The attendees enjoyed a day of exploration, interactive experiences and education from distinguished makeup artists from Korea and the Philippines.

Morning sessions featured product demonstrations by Laneige, Innisfree and Mise en Scene. Those in the afternoon included a trivia contest and lectures by makeup artists on beauty tips and demos.

Flyers and brochures included information on tourism, an event map and programs plus a Korean wellness tour. Also, I got freebies from the KTO booths like a travel tote bag and sujeonggwa, a tasty cinnamon punch.

The event offered beauty products and related brochures and flyers.

I saw many people drop by a booth to get a free color analysis. Attendees could select their ideal color combinations to create visually appealing clothing matching their complexions based on consultations from a Philippine image and certified color consultant.

The event also had a photo zone and booths for hair, nail dyeing, Mise en Scene, Laneige, Innisfree, tourism in Korea, personal color analysis and tasting of sujeonggwa.

"K-Beauty Hangout" had many booths to keep visitors interested.

This inaugural event of its kind promoted the potential of the Korean beauty industry, attracting hundreds of attendees.
