A series of commemorative stamps for the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) Plenipotentiary Conference has now been issued.

The series of Korea Post stamps feature the ITU conference logo, a traditional beacon tower or bongsudae, a traditional Jeju gate of wooden posts between stone walls and the Gwangan Bridge, a symbol of the conference host city, Busan. A total of 1,022,000 prints of the four-stamp series have been issued.

The ITU conference is held every four years and is attended by ministers from the ITU's 193 member nations. At the meeting, they make decisions on information and communications policies. The meeting will continue at the BEXCO convention center in Busan until November 7.
