The video puts the figure skater in the spotlight for about four minutes during her interview with Ryan Seacrest. It highlights the queen-on-ice’s career, from winning gold in Vancouver in 2010 to being busy with appearances in a series of Korean commercials.

“If you hear cries like this for Lady Gaga, Beyoncé and even Madonna, you know you are in the presence of a superstar. Tonight, there’s no difference,” said Seacrest, just a few minutes into the video.

When asked how she felt when she finished her long program at the Vancouver Olympics, the gold medalist replied, “I trained so hard and I was ready for the moment. When everything finished, I had a feeling of relief.”

“[It’s] nice to be a role model for young skaters,” she continued.

When Seacrest asked her, “How much pressure did you feel, when you made a speech in front of the international Olympic committee, even in English,” the 23-year-old star answered, “I had to practice over and over, over and over again, because English is not my language.”

The image shifted to the ice rink where Kim taught the host how to skate. Kim even rewarded her floundering partner with a high-five for not falling down.

When they got off the ice, Seacrest found a crowd of fans had been waiting for a glimpse of Kim, much to his surprise. “In the crush of celebrity, Kim holds steady; a young woman with a special power to do great things,” he said.

The broadcaster’s special Facebook page for the Sochi Olympics also posted an image of Kim Yuna to mark “D-1” until the Olympics, with a comment, “One more day until the Sochi Winter Olympics!”
