President Moon Jae-in shared some words of celebration with the people of India, commemorating the International Day of Yoga on June 21.

He said on Twitter that, “Today marks the International Day of Yoga as designated by the U.N. It’s a day of global celebration for all those who love yoga. I received a letter from Prime Minister Narendra Modi of India, the home of yoga, asking me to join in the celebrations.”

“As a means of seeking harmony between nature and humanity, as well as between one's body and mind, yoga is widely loved in Korea, too. Last Sunday, June 17, many people gathered at Gwanghwamun Plaza in Seoul to celebrate the International Day of Yoga,” he added.

“In line with the aspirations embodied by yoga, I hope that happiness and peace spread all around the world,” he wrote.
