Encore! Gangwon-do Winter Festival extended

Pyeongchang Trout Festival

Pyeongchang Trout Festival will continue until February 15th giving visitors another chance to experience the ice fishing, sledding, on the spot sushi and grilled fish cooking stations and snow rafting. Pyeongchang Trout Festival has been very successful, drawing over 400,000 people so far this year.

Inje Icefish Festival


The 13th Inje Icefish Festival was originally scheduled from Jan 28th to 31st, 2010, however it has been extended until Feb 9th. Up until now, around 600,000 tourists have participated in the festival and made valuable memories while fishing for pond smelts and experiencing a rural life.

Hwacheon Sancheoneo (Mountain Trout) Ice Festival

Hwacheon Sancheoneo (Mountain Trout) Ice Festival, which was scheduled for 21 days from Jan 9 to 31, 2010 attracted more than 1.3 million people, the highest number ever. Asia Ice Lights Square and World Winter City Square will remain open for another round until February 28th.

In addition, the Ice Trout Festival will be held under the ‘Sarangbang Masil’ program at Pungsan village, Hwacheon-eup, in conjunction with the Sancheoneo Festival.
