Korean Buddhist temple foods entering Europe market
Aug 10, 2011
Korean Buddhist temple foods have started to gain a promising foothold in the Europe market, with the vegetarian cuisine becoming popular among vegetarian in France and the United Kingdom.
According to the Jogye Order of Korean Buddhism, a temple exhibition will be held in May next year at Galeries Lafayette in Paris, one of the biggest department stores in France. The store will also begin stocking temple food in its grocery section.
“This exhibition will play an important role in promoting Korean temple food and Korean culture,” said a representative from the Jogye Order.
