With only 30 days left until the opening of Gwangju Summer Universiade 2015, the local lighting of the torch took place at the Jangbuljae mountain pass at Mudeungsan National Park on June 2.

This torch will join the flame lit at the Sorbonne University in Paris on May 18. Together, the co-joined flame will be placed in a lantern and will tour key locations around Gwangju, promoting the games' themes of the environment, peace, IT and the arts.
