Three handsome gymnasts from Europe have captured center stage at the 2015 Gwangju Summer Universiade.

They are Oleg Verniaiev from Ukraine, currently ranked No. 1 and now a two-time gold medalist at the Gwangju Universiade, Igor Radivilov, also from Ukraine and silver medalist in the vault and the rings, and Fabian Hambuechen from Germany, a gold medalist in the horizontal bar.

Verniaiev's relationship with the Universiade began in 2011 when he was ranked seventh in the vault. At the 2013 Summer Universiade in Kazan, Russia, he was placed third in the horizontal bar and in the men's individual all-around, winning two bronzes. At the Gymnastics World Championships in Nanning, China, in 2014, he won a gold medal in the horizontal bar, becoming the only athlete to gain over 16 points in the horizontal bar.
